The IMMAC Sailing Team has been operating as a professional sailing racing team for 10 years. The team comprises approximately 40 competitive sailors, trainers, and crew managers in five boat classes, who participate in regattas worldwide and have won several world, European and German championship titles in recent years.
The IMMAC Sailing Team was established in 2002 and has since become a success story that will last for more than 20 years. This has been achieved through the dedication of the team members and their passion for the sport. The team has achieved national, international, and Olympic success.
The non-profit organisation Förderverein der IMMAC Sailing Academy e.V. was established in 2009 to promote the next generation of sailors and provide children and young people from all social backgrounds with access to sailing. The association facilitates the free training of children in sailing, particularly in collaboration with schools and sailing clubs. This enables young sailors to gain a suitable introduction to the world of sailing through the provision of professional and financial support. The IMMAC Sailing Team also serves as a platform for the discovery and support of special talents. Since its foundation, the non-profit support association has built and financed over 200 optimist dinghies in cooperation with diaconal inclusion companies and made them available free of charge to schools and sailing clubs throughout Germany.

Non-profit IMMAC Academy
The IMMAC Support Association was established in 2010. Since then, we have provided sailing opportunities for children and young people who previously lacked access to this activity. The various skills acquired through sailing have a significant impact on the valuable skills of the younger generation. These skills ultimately influence and positively shape other areas of life. Sailing, steering, aligning, and staying on course: This strengthens self-confidence and the ability to work in a team.
At least 20 Optimist boats are built in the Schleswig workshops every year. These boats are then made available for use in youth projects. The support also extends to the IMMAC Sailing Academy, which works closely with various sailing clubs and schools. The Optimists are used here as training boats, enabling free sailing courses, and working groups.
